           Reset forgotten password for Ubuntu 16.10 in less than 120sec

  

            Do you think it is that easy to reset the forgotten password in less than 120 secs??

                   

                 I say, yes it is possible.You can try keeping timer by side, so lets break-in,time starts now

     Steps:

1.     Get into the Grub and Go to recovery mode
2.     
   Drop to root shell prompt
    and  Change the password
3.     Sync and reboot the system 

       1. Get into the Grub and Go to recovery mode

   

 As you can see i am not able to login, so lets reboot the system

  

       After this make sure you are fast enough to enter to grub before it loads full Gui mode so            keep pressing        "esc"  key so that we can  enter in grub menu

      Select Advanced options for Ubuntu and hit Enter

       

     select the Ubuntu with recovery mode

         2. Drop to root shell prompt and  Change the password

          

       Select root  Drop to root shell prompt and lets change the password for the user we want to 

       and remount / with read and write permissions 

        

   As we can see the password is changed .now we are ready to go

    3. Sync and reboot the system 

    

Now try with your new passwod and Have fun !!!
